Australian Diamond Story

Australian diamonds were first discovered in gold mines dating back to the ’80s, although diamonds were moderately small in size, the largest diamond found was named “Octahedron” with a weight of 5 5/8 carats. It is said that Australian diamonds were harder than a lot of the diamonds that came from many other parts of the world and account for higher volumes.

Argyle deposits in the western region are where Australia’s low-quality yet large quantities are found and also have some of the premier graded diamonds. The Australian Argyle pink diamonds have no upper ceiling for prices as these mines supply these exceptional and rare diamonds.  The large supply of these pink diamonds mined from the Argyle deposits added pressure on the price of these fancy diamonds when it declared a halt on the mining in 2020.

An important question asked by many when hunting for the ideal “engagement ring”, well price tags on diamonds, in general, are based on their quality and rareness, a premium price tagged on white diamonds and the size of these diamonds determine prices.
Purchasing diamonds online has never been more convenient, all hail to the technology and modern courier services and not to omit a few benefits of purchasing diamonds from Australia.

• The chances are it might be cheaper to buy in Australia than in most of the other parts of the world
• You are certainly protected by Australian laws
• Easier returns
• And, of course, the convenience of payment via plastic cards

Shine Bright like a Diamond!

Ever thought that diamonds are only for weddings and engagements because they always symbolized romance, well not anymore with diamonds becoming trendsetters and designers are finding fascinating ways of incorporating diamonds into fashion jewellery. Deviate from the traditional way of wearing a single diamond and shift towards a mix and match of diamonds that come in colours and be totally on-trend.

Whilst wonders are created when these splendid diamonds are in the hands of the right designer, a cluster of stones with great cuts can create elegant jaw-dropping jewellery.
